I got an old scope form attic and got to my room a tripod and Placing the scope and also wants an adapter du s how I need a scope on a tripod Velbon Placing the scope adpater and scope they themsel

Hi Lars -
It will depend on the model of scope and model of tripod. The tripod will need a 'head' which allows you to control pan and tilt. The scope will attach to the head with an adaptor which will be screwed to the 'foot' of the scope.
Your best option would be to take what you have to an optics supplier, and see what they suggest.

Hi Lars
Are you able to upload pictures of the scope and tripod?
Most modern scopes will have a tripod bush, which is normally a 'standard' thread (the same as on a camera).
If it's an old 'draw-tube' scope you will need an adapter.
