Nikon Coolpix P5100 to Opticron 40935SDL eyepiece (1 Viewer)

Having used the forum successfully to purchase an Opticron ES 80 GA ED scope with a 40935 SDL 20x-60x eyepiece I have now bought a Nikon P5100 camera.

Can someone please advise on a suitable adapter to directly connect the camera to the eyepiece.

I have been using a swing out universal clam adapter to connect my old camera to the scope but would like to make a direct connection.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks,

Paul Brookman:t:

I'd recommend using a Nikon UR-E20 tube on the front of the camera. This gives you a 28mm thread which would allow you to use the Opticron SDL DCC adapter (50064). This is basically a tube which slips over the eyepeice and can be tighened to lock it in place.
