Day 2 of my weeks holiday. Another superb day with sunshine & blue skies. Saw even more butterflies & dragonflies than yesterday.

An early train to Brundall and a walk to the reserve for a few hours.


Butterflies :

Red Admiral
Peacock
Comma
Small White
Green Veined White
Gatekeeper
Small Heath
Painted Lady
Grayling
Speckled Wood
Brimstone
Small Tortoiseshell
Small Copper
6-Spot Burnet


Dragonflies :

Brown Hawker
Southern Hawker
Norfolk Hawker - a few individuals still about, not many though.
Black-tailed Skimmer
Emporer Dragonfly
Ruddy Darter
Banded Demoiselle
Emerald Damselfly
Azure Damselfly
Blue-tailed Damselfly


Birds :

Marsh Harrier - 2 ( maybe 3 ). 1 adult female, 1 or 2 I wasn't sure about
Barn Owl - flying about in the baking hot mid-day sun !
