A question of Ravens. (1 Viewer)

Why do the Ravens on my local patch in the Chilterns give the Buzzards absolute hell but leave the Kites to go about their business unmolested? I've sat and watched them chase Buzzards away from the area and having to dodge the kites whilst doing so. No Buzzards, no fuss. They just sit in the trees kronking away to themselves as the kites just drift about above them. As soon as a Buzzard appears they are off and at 'em. Do they know that Buzzards are active hunters and the kites scavengers and therefore not a threat? If so, how? All answers greatly recieved.
