I'm going over to the island for a few days, with my in-laws, during the second week of july. Can anyone suggest good places i can escape to for some birding?

We have just one article in Opus - Newtown Estuary, though I'm sure there's many more good places.

You could try a PM to Vectis BIrder as she lives there.

Hi there, I would suggest Newtown, RSPB Brading Marshes, Parkhurst Forest (for Nightjar and Woodcock), Laundry Lane (footpath between Brading and St Helens). For more info, try this site: Derek Hale's Birding on the IoW, he frequently updates it with sightings and reports.
