Bluebird boxes - can't find an solid answer on height...
Can anyone help? I am considering putting up a bluebird trail along our field but I cannot find out how high the boxes are supposed to be. I've read many, many websites and the number ranges from 4 ft to 8 ft. Not only is this a very wide gap in range, but I don't know if it means the bottom of the house? The top? The hole?
Can someone shed some light for me? Thank you, Alissa |

Well, I can tell you that my box's entrance holes are 5' from ground level and all facing east and they're inhabited every year by both the Chickadees and the Bluebirds.
