Mexican owling (1 Viewer)

Wow. That is quite a whirl-wind adventure. I'm glad you made it without incident. I like to think that things are getting better in Mexico and not worse, but I'm not quit ready for a trip such as yours. I'm envious of your trip, and appreciate the write-up. Maybe one day!

Great write up!

I enjoyed this bit:

"This is part of a bigger rebellion that continues to simmer between the army and the people here). I try three sites, but get no response. I decide to go back to KM2 on the Ocosingo road. (A classic birding site, but also the one with the worst rap for conflict). Sure enough I get five minutes of owling in, when a couple of local guys move me on. Strangely one of them has a tablet (Ipad). I am more used to getting moved on by guys carrying farming tools."

We were robbed here of a new Camera in early 2014!

cheers, alan
