New here, and need advice.

Visiting in mid April, and interested in nature photo opportunities in the Beverley area.

Birding near Beverley

Hi,
If you mean Beverley, Yorkshire, there are quite a few good spots within a short travelling distance. Tophill Low pumping station is just a mile or so from Beverley, Paull Holme Strays on the banks of the Humber is good for waders and ducks. Good hides at both spots. There a few more a bit further out but once you are out and about people will point you in the right direction.

Hi EDKAY,

Would agree with geehed4u but would also recommend North Cave Wetlands, especially at this time of year. Some birds will get quite close to the hides.

The Westwood area is also fantastic for landscape photography.

I would also say that the Kiplingcotes Station area of the Hudson Way (near South Dalton - grid reference SE929439) is great for wild flowers, although mid-April is a bit early for the orchids. Still a nice walk and you could see Red Kites there!
