A very good deal indeed, particularly on the iPad where in my opinion the Peterson vies with the Sibley as the best North American birding app. (It's a little too fiddly for my taste on the iPhone where I definitely prefer the Sibley).
 
Another great app to keep a watch for is iBird Pro. Lisa turned me on to this one and it really is very good
 
Thanks for the heads up! I downloaded it straight away. Can't beat the price :)
I just wish we had apps as nice a this for Europe.
