New Trinovid? (1 Viewer)

Leica just announced them. I don't know if anybody has them yet. They have been discussed in recent threads in this Leica Forum. See the one entitled "Not so Trinny."

I wonder if they are as good as the Nikon Premier (formerly the venerable LX/L HG/L) which are now Nikon's 2nd line binocular.

Unless Leica deviated drastically from it's usual optical design, the most obvious differences btwn the new Trinnie and the "old" Premier will be the Trinnie's lack of "rolling ball" and lack of edge to edge sharpness.

If they are like the original Trinnies, they might even have too much pincushion for some people's tastes.

The Premiers also have better ER for eyeglass wearers and the fastest and smoothest focuser West of the Pecos.
