Saw this warbler today and it wasn't "chiffchaffing "....is it a Willow Warbler or something else ?

Have you got any photos which show the wings more clearly? What sound was it making... not tif tif tif pieu pieu sisisisisisisisis?
 
Here's a couple of other cropped shots Jane... the wings might be a bit clearer on these . I'm afraid I'm useless on birdsong recognition so couldn't say what it's song was like , just know that it wasn't going "chiff chaff " . The bird was down Lingham Lane by Leasowe lighthouse

Willow Warbler for me as well. The wing primary projection (PP) is long and pointy rather than short and stubby as it would be on Chiffchaff.
