Winter Wren or Carolina Wren (1 Viewer)

Hi birders,

I've got a vague photo of some kind of wren. I think it's a winter wren because of the speckled white dots around the flank and chest. I just wanted to get a second opinion and rule out a Carolina wren. Can we say with certainty that this is a winter wren?

Thanks,

Neither species has bright white spots on the primary feathers. Therefore the supercilium, which is just about the same color as the primary and flank spotting, is not bright white. Winter has a short supercilium and larger pale spots on the primaries than does Carolina. Carolina has uniformly colored flanks, Winter has spots. This looks like a Winter Wren to me.
