3 moths to ID for Northumbria please. (1 Viewer)

Just built a trap and am trying to sort out some ID's.

The first looks like a Sprawler, but the books say end of October to December, so is it too early? The second was possibly the size of a Garden Carpet, or maybe a bit bigger and the third I suspect, may be a micro.

Please be patient with me, I'm trying to learn.

Mike,
I'd go for Blair's Shoulder-knot, Willow Beauty and Epiphyas postvittana. Others may disagree!

I'm in agreement too - Light Brown Apple Moth can be very variable and some are more obvious than others.
You'll find people very helpful on here Mike - I only started mothing this year and posted lots of species earlier this year. I always got helpful and non-judgemental responses!

Yes, I think I'm going to need a lot of help. At least I'm starting at the right time of year with only a few moths to sort out after each session. Starting in June or July must be mind blowing!
