Common Yellowthroat in NYC (1 Viewer)

I did not actually go birding (I was at work) but on my way out to lunch I saw a Common Yellowthroat. This was yesterday, right next to World Trade Center in NYC. I am sure it was a CYT, it was 1-2 (max) feet away…but isn’t it unusual for this time of the year? We had temperatures under 30 last week.

Yes, unusual for a COYE to be in your area this time of year, but not unheard of. I saw one November 25, 2008 up at Squaw Creek NWR, Mound City, Missouri.
