I can coordinate things but my time will be limited as I have visitors. If people message me their sightings, I'll collate them into a list.

Can't help but think we could turn this into some sort of sponsored bird race in the future?
 
Here are my sightings today so far

Crow, magpie, wood pigeon, feral pigeon, great tit, blue tit,house sparrow, whitethroat, jackdaw, rn parakeet, lt tit, chiffchaff,starling, bullfinch, robin, greenfinch, chaffinch, reed bunting, bh gull, grey heron, can goose, swan, moorhem, coot, wren, blackbird, reed warbler, sedge warbler, gs woody, water rail, g woody, swift, dunnock, mallard, song thrush, herring gull, lapwing, teal, gadwall, lbbg, c tern, lrp, tufted duck, cormorant, goldfinch, c sand, buzzard, wood sandpiper, oyc, house Martin, sand Martin, sparrow hawk, blackcap, jay, stock dove, gold crest, meadow pipit, less whitethroat, skylark, rook, mistle thrush, little grebe, treecreper, nuthatch, pied wag, grey wag, little egret, collared dove, peregrine.
 
From what I have seen/heard from people so far, the current list stands so with birds in bold still to be seen. Accreditation given where species was only recorded once. I'll edit the list throughout the day.

Unless I hear anything from anyone else, it appears we finish the day on 89 species. Many thanks to all who contributed sightings (I won't try and name everyone for risk of missing individuals). With red-throated diver being a new (but frustratingly fleeting) bird for the Valley, it was a hugely successful day!
 
Thanks for putting all the info together mike.

Well done all who took part today.. I even managed my first water rail of the year and the only one at Sandwell I have ever seen today. Good day.
