I'd have gone for Thekla, more on a hunch and crest shape, but happy to be wrong. I'd like to see it's bill!

Do you even get Crested that far south, or do they become Maghreb there? If so, looks to me that bill too short for Maghreb.

EDIT: Maghreb Lark is the other side of the Atlas, so it's either Crested or Thekla. Are you sure it's Crested BirdNerd?

I'd favour Crested, not least because Crested are abundant, but Thekla scarce, in Morocco (I never got Thekla on my trip there, but loads of Crested). The rather plain wing I think also supports Crested.
