Snowy owls inner mongolia (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

I've read some reports on the web of people chasing snowy owls around Xiqi in Inner Mongolia is this something that is obtainable to the average person (hiring a guide etc). Are they in the area by late Nov or only by Dec?

Snowy Owl is one of the fairly easiest owl in that area. Below, is the account of our trip from last year.

Zhao Shuanlong (+86 13848708421) is the guide. He doesn't speak English but he knows most of the English names of the birds found in Xiqi. Also, don't expect much, as this is the peak time for the Snowy Owls, he won't be focused on other varieties in that area.
