i got clips for the green bee-eater and they were a bit dark, not showing the correct colors at all, the increase brightness in the video maker made it look so pale, can you help me with great thanks.
 
Sorry to be replying such a long time after your posting!

I take my (MiniDV SD) videos into Corel/Ulead VideoStudio 11.5+. This has a wide range of video filters, and if you're patient, you can raise the mid tone brightness without overbrightening the highlights. It's not too obvious which filter will be best so some experimentation may be necessary.
