what is this please ? looks like black headed but all other black headed have winter plumage and look bigger.Sat by himself most of the time . looks wrong for med. little gull or hybrid ?

hmmm that does look interesting , doesn't look like black headed to me either, immature ross's gull sprung to my mind but i'm no gull expert and will wait for further replies with interest
 
Bonaparte's Gull? Smaller than Black Headed, black beak. Can't find a photo with the same head markings, but could be halfway between summer and winter plumage, perhaps?
 
Can see the bill colour in the second shot. Definitely not a Bonaparte's Gull then. Looks like a Black Headed after all.
