White and Yellow Wagtails (1 Viewer)

Cyberdoc. Only one picture of a "Yellow Wagtail" appears on my screen, but actually it is a Grey Wagtail - Motacilla cinera rather than Motacilla flava

I'd have to agree that the first one looks like Grey Wagtail to me as well - the black throat is a dead giveaway.

The second one does look more brown on the back as if it could be a Yellow Watgtail, but someone more knowlegable needs to identify them.

Yellow Wagtails do vary considerably in plumage around Europe.

BTW nice photos!

Anyone looking, click on the 'photo 2' below the photo to view the second one.

Ah, got it, thanks Ian. Looks like another Grey Wagtail to me, a female this time. I'm not familiar with the Asian races which is probably why it looks to have a lot of Yellow on it, but those pale legs are the clincher!
