Anyone know the Canon 9x21 Roof Prism (vintage)? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I came across a vintage pair of Canon's in 9x21, with a 5.6 degree fov. They were made in Japan, and I was told they were pretty expensive in their day - like Leica/Zeiss expensive, but I can't seem to find any info on them anywhere. Has anyone here had any experience with them, are they a quality instrument? Thanks in advance.

. Hi Julian, and welcome.
I have, I think, a Pentax 9×21 roof prism binocular. The trouble is it's pretty dim, even though it is quite nicely built. Because of the dim image it's not something I use. I prefer the Docter 10×25.
It may be that the Canon is somewhat similar.
However, the Pentax was fairly reasonably priced, nothing like the price you describe for the Canon.

I wonder whether the Canon 9×21 roof prism binocular is actually up to Zeiss or Leica standards?
