For the Netherlands I wouldn't consider Nikon Binoculars for a moment. In my country the service for Nikon is very poor.
 
Given the 7x50 format is a niche slow seller it's hard to believe the WX will sell listed at $5995 at BH photo ?
 
Say one wanted to buy the last revision of the Swarovski 8x56 WB binoculars, where might they find them in the US?

They are not being sold here in the US. You will have to go to Europe
or another country.

There was a post about that, when they were introduced, you may want
to do a search.

Thanks I found that thread.

Below is an updated link to an article Brock mentioned, but it was written in 2010 so it predates the latest revision of these binoculars and that is somewhat significant in comparisons. So not much value except in thinking about Why.
