Fieldscope eyepiece mount query (1 Viewer)

Just curious if the protruding eyepiece mount part on the Fieldscope 78/82 body does actually screw off externally without everything falling apart, please.....but don't try it!

Be great if it did, then perhaps an adapter could be made to allow fitting eyepieces of other makes. That protrusion is a real nuisance, would love to try a Baader Mk I zoom on the scope without losing back-focus.....
