This may be a bit out of the ordinary, but there's now a game based on Walden. I've not tried it myself though...

I may be wrong but the brief look I've just had at it, seems to be a philosophy rather than nature work?

At that time, it was assumed that there was a seamless link between philosophy and natural philosophy... For example, the geologist James Hutton, considered a natural philosopher, and the philosopher David Hume overlapped in time, but belonged to a relatively small community of minds, and shared a compelling need to better explain the world...

Walden fits well into that concept.
