Birds during my time as a student (1 Viewer)

Gregor Tims
I've decided to start a list of birds I've seen between starting university and before I graduate (right now in approximately November 2018). I started in late February this year, so I'll start by listing birds I've seen since then based on ebird observations I've made. I don't have any particular target as quite frankly I have no idea where life will take me during this time, but it's certainly going to be great fun tracking it with birding observations!

I'll start with my first ebird observations since I started (obviously these records don't represent the first time I saw the birds since starting uni, but the first time I recorded them on ebird). Species in bold are lifers.

19th March 2016, Southport Pelagic, Qld- not all birds seen were noted
1. Kermadec Petrel- my first lifer after starting university

While on the 21st May, I saw this at Emerson Park in Brisbane

and during my first few days at UQ, several of these flew over:

For now I'll just be focusing on birding around Brisbane, but I am hopeful that some overseas travel will be coming up at some point!
