During a leisurely walk in the woods behind my house this afternoon, I found one new bird for the year.

Even if it doesn’t “count” for ABA, there is a Eurasian Tree Sparrow near the San Pedro port that many birders suspect came to us from an Asian boat. ABA doesn’t recognize ship assisted birds as countable, but it’s still a very interesting individual to check out!
