Pentax Papilio: Internal Dust? (1 Viewer)

I was looking through a pair of Papilio 6.5x21's that I was planning to purchase and noticed what appeared to be internal dust. I was looking through the objective lens at a point source of light slightly off of center and saw numerous small specks highlighted by the light. The specks were not dark but rather looked sort of hazy or streaky. To me it looked more like a mist of lubricant than dark specks of dirt. The specks appeared to be on the inside of the eyepiece and were evenly distributed across the whole view. When the focus was set at closest focus, they could not be seen, but as I moved the focus towards infinity they became clear. Both barrels were similar. The specks could not be seen when looking through the objectives at an evenly lit piece of white paper.

Could this be a result of internal flare from looking at a point source of light, rather than actual dust?

Any Papilio owners out there who have had a similar experience? Start looking through your objectives and checking.

Thanks for the help.
