It is a long time since I have seen so many birders at Rattray!
The Desert Wheatear has turned out to be a major attraction but I guess with the Laughing Gull, American Wigeon and King Eider nearby it is a nice bird to finish 2012 with.
It showed well all day in the flooded area just inland from the Lighthouse and I expect some good photos to appear.
On the downside at least four dead Shags on the beach with another very sick bird.
If the wheatear stays into 2013 I can see it being even more popular next week.

You've sure had a good time of it up there lately Tim.

Happy 2013 to you.
