Hi,

I saw this bird last May, and am not totally sure if it is Common, or lesser Whitethroat. I am sorry for the poor picture, way too high ISO. If there was a little more colour in the image it would be much easier.

Common. The best method to distinguish them is the rufous on the wing that is absent from Lesser. You can just see it in this photo

Granted it's against the light but aren't the dark greyish legs and feet better for Lesser?
