Second breeding pair of Ospreys and three chicks confirmed in first nest at Rutland W (1 Viewer)

From the Rutland Water Osprey web site on: http://www.ospreys.org.uk/AWOP/Update.htm

"We are delighted to be able to announce today that there is a second breeding pair of Ospreys at Rutland Water. Like the first nest (see below) it is away from the reservoir on private land. The nest was built last year by a male who was translocated here in 1998."

"We are now certain that there are three Osprey chicks in the first nest at Rutland Water. We are delighted at this news because young females, like 05(00) breeding for the first time, often have only one or two chicks."
