Advice needed regarding Vanguard. (1 Viewer)

I bought a brand new pair of Vanguard Endeavour ED 8x42, with the paperwork from the dealer BUT from a BF member and was wondering after discovering a crescent shaped mark on the left eyepiece if the 10 year warranty still stands on goods bought secondhand, they were only bought brand new 10 month ago.
Thanks for any advice.

Damian,

I have asked Vanguard a couple of questions about the warranty. Strictly second owners are not covered in the UK, but they are keen to offer good will where possible and providing it's a manufacturing fault they may well allow a certain amount of discretion. The no-fault warranty offered in the US doesn't apply here so the big question is, is the crescent shaped mark a manufacturing fault? If not they said they would seek the most cost effective solution. They now have a service centre in Surrey, but I think [email protected] should be the first step.
