Infamous Amazon binoculars (formerly Polaris optics), you've probally seen ads for them if you shop for binos on Amazon, and pretty much you would likely dismiss them as chinese junk being heavily pushed.

The Crystal view ultra is strikingly similar, if not identical to the defunct Vortex Talon HD, and Eagle Optics ranger ED open bridge binos that are now discontinued, (I take a guess it could be from the same Chinese manufacturer) but they only go for $200 right now.

Here's how they look through them

Image loses quality and blurs 80% from center
Little to no chromatic aberrations though out the center field of view
Huge wide field of view (65 afov) as advertised

Overall build quality seems solid

The binos appears to be legit

Took them out to Lake Tahoe yesterday, and had a nice full day of evaluation with them. Incredible center resolution with no CA, and decently bright. They are overall superb for the price, if you are ok with the edge resolution dropoff (perfectly ok for the $198 price tag). The sample I had was also well collimated.

They look pretty good! That's a nice clean, clear snapshot of the view!

How's the focus adjustment? Any slack/slop?
