Help! Not sure if this is a female Wilson's Warbler or a Yellow Warbler - perhaps neither!! Maybe it's a juvenile? Many thanks!

Yep,

Its a juvenile something - showing its gape and feathers still in pin. But species?

I'd say Common Yellowthroat.

I always think of common yellowthroats as having a yellow throat (duh!) and undertail, but a grayish or white belly area. This bird is yellow from stem to stern.

Or are western birds that different from eastern birds?

So do I but for some reason this looks like a Yellowthroat to me.
