What Bird, Thailand (1 Viewer)

Can't say this is the angle I'm used to identifying them from! I was just trying to learn lesser and greater by looking at the mantle - but this pic won't do that. However, it does look like Greater Coucal juveniles tend to be darker, so seems that is more likely. I guess that your friend's bird is just a stage further along (darker) than this one?
