Evening guys,

I forgot to ask this a month ago, but can anyone tell me the name of this duck?

I saw him at Martin Mere in October. He flew in with some Pintails but i can't seem to find what he is??

Thanks

Steve

Presume he was blown off course. What would happen to this bird? Can it fly back? Would it stay here and if so, would it pair with another pintail as it was seen with other pintails? Would appreciate some comments.

It's interesting as I didn't realise how superficially they look like female Red-crested Pochard! More markings and the red on the bill are different, but at a quick glance they could be confused.
