Spent a couple of hours at Venus Pool near Shrewsbury today and really enjoyed it. The sun was shining and I saw a number of birds including Oystercatchers, Lapwings, Common Sandpipers and a Great Crested Grebe which caught a fish as I was watching it.

All together It was a great day with lovely weather. I can't wait till next time.

I made it to Venus Pool once - a few years ago now though and really enjoyed it.

Ah, one of my local patches when I'm back home. It's a great reserve at any time of the year, but spring is probably the best!

Went up to Venus Pool again yesterday as the weather was nice and even took a few photos.
