What are the rules/guidelines for voting ?

Thanks
Colin

You only get one vote - Otherwise no rules - Pick the picture which best matches the theme and for whatever reason you like the best.

Keep it simple

It maybe a techically good photograph.

It may of been difficult to get the shot.

It may of taken a lot of time and patience.

It may make you smile.

It maybe you just don't know why you like it.

The important thing is that you vote. Those who have entred have taken the time and effort and in some cases plucked up alot of courage to put their shot to the test.

Whew, this is one of the hardest competitions ever! So many photos spoke to me, it was exceptionally difficult to narrow the field, much less vote for just one. Good job, all you photographers! :t:

Have to say the "Hunting Kestrel" is a wonderful image & gets my vote........ all the best to everyone......... loads of great pictures

There are some really wonderful images this month! I can't make up my mind which to vote for -- I'll have to flip through the images again before I can decide.

Thank you to all the contestants for sharing your talents with the rest of us.

decided to vote for a non bird pic this time even though it was a tough choice as some of the bird shots are excellent albeit predictable. Can we have a non bird comp one month guys, please?

As always so difficult to choose like limeybirder I decided to plump for a non bird this time but well done all including the ones who were not shortlisted.

My vote goes to Flags up and gear down-only thing is i forget the Jan.comp.-says any thing goes-if i had uploaded my OUT-LAW RELATIVE-i would have won hands down. 3:) 3:) 3:) :D May the best Man,Women and ??? WIN. B :) B :)

Brilliant pictures....very hard too pick a winner , very close call on a few off the pictures.
they are all great pics.

Difficult Choice

What an incredibly difficult choice. Such wonderful photographs. Such wonderful sightings! I would love to see so many of these photos in real life. Thanks to everyone who entered.

What a great start to 2006 with a superb selection of photos for the theme 'Anything Goes'.

The last few compeitions had out right leaders from the outset. This month though saw it head to head between two entries for 1st place and then pretty tight for third and fourth as well.

From the 58 entries submitted 30 were selected for the voting booth. In total 198 votes were cast.

1st place goes to Hunting Kestrel by Mick V which attracted 27/198 votes cast.

2nd place Here's lookin' at ya!! by anonymous_guy with 26/198 votes.

3rd and 4th places were hotly contested - so much so they tied with 16 votes each -

Joint 3rd are -

Lynx by ferd

Flaps up gear down by grizzlyike

Congratulations to the winners and thank you to everyone who entered and to everyone who took the time to view the entries and cast their vote.

In due course the photos will be moved to their appropriate forum.

Details of the February competition will be posted shortly.
