Manfrotto 701HDV Safety Features? (1 Viewer)

Does the Manfrotto head 701HDV have a safety catch or other feature that prevents an accidental release of the camera or the scope? I notice a red button on photos, but I have not found any clear statement about a safety feature so far.

The red button is to release the q/r plate, by pressing it in and then sliding the plate out. There is a tension / locking black knob on the right hand side (shaped like a pear drop or ovoid?) which prevents the plate from accidentally coming undone. I've had one for a couple of years (perhaps more), that a spotting scope sits on - no problems yet. Hope this helps.

Thanks, yes, very much so!
