The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has finally put on the net there review of scopes that appeared in the Winter 2002 issue of Living Bird. It is a little out of date, as the small Leica scope and the Zeiss scopes are not included in the review. Nor are the new Swarovski's--if that makes much difference.
No matter, there is a lot of useful information in the table, but also in the accompanying articles indexed on the left side. The topic "Spotting Scope Review" is the information that goes with the table.

The Cornell Lab does receive funding support from Swarovski for many of the labs endeavors.
