Hi,

this bird I saw new Christchurch, New Zealand.
Looks like ower Song Trush. Is it the same or a subspecies ?

Almost the whole New Zealand bird population was replaced by boring European birds. So yes, it's the same…

Thank You for Your help.
I think the Australians helped us a little bit with replacement
e.g. Spur-winged Plover, Magpie, Rosella.
But also Californian Quail is very common and Indian Mynah.
Except birds there is millions of Possums and also Eichornia crassipes.
