There was an article in Today's Times Newspaper,mainly about the Puffins,at Bempton.
This was the venue on May 18th for the 'North bash'which remains my highlight of the birding year to-date.
It was in the WEEKEND section,which also had the usual excellent contribution from Derwent May,this week about the Hooded Crow split.
 
Read both items. Not quite sure where Derwent May gets his info from, but Hooded Crow is already considered a seperate species by the BOU and has been for at least 12 months. Not the first time he's got it wrong either!
