Anybody tried phonescoping?

some stupid questions:
I visited in interested web pages today.

There were digiscoping pictures taken using mobile phone.
How does it work? There was no technical information. Can I use every mobile phone with cam included?
I tried mine with no success. Should I use some kind of adapter? If, where can I buy it?
 
first time that i have seen this! - very interesting. would be handy when travelling, just to use a mobile than carry a full size camera. this will be sure to catch on - although pic quality might be an issue!
