Nocturnal call (1 Viewer)

nartreb

Speak softly and carry a long lens
location: massachusetts USA

Recently this fella has taken up residence outside my window - starts as soon as the shadows hide the tree trunks and keeps it up for hours.

The recording does not do justice to how loud this is.

Tree is a young maple; sound seems to be coming from only about four meters off the ground.

I never manage to see anything in the tree, and have not seen any unusual birds coming or going.

Sometimes I wonder if it's a tree frog, but I've never before heard just one frog alone, it's usually a chorus.
