Ailsa Craig advice for beginner (1 Viewer)

Hi folks

I am taking a boat trip across to Ailsa Craig ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ailsa_Craig) this wednesday and am after some tips/advice.
I am thinking if the light is good (blue sky) I should set the camera (Canon 50D + Canon 100 400mm lens) to TV setting , speed to about 1600 ish and ISO to auto. This I would hope allow me to capture gannets etc in flight/diving.

I will probably be on the "rocking" boat up close to the cliff face.

Should I set the camera drive to AI SERVO or AI FOCUS with high speed continuous (RAW files)?

Any help would be appreciated. If anyone wants to come along its £20 a head leaving Girvan harbour at 1300

thanks

Chas :t:
