OK, my Sparrow blindness has hit again. I get stumped on Sparrows.

I shot these three images in a park just north of Columbus, Ohio, over the weekend. Field Sparrow? Or something else?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I believe you have answered your own question. Field sparrow. I am not an expert on sparrows but the only others with the white eye ring don't fit and the stout pink bill is right.

Beautiful pictures! :t:

As far as I'm aware, the field sparrow is the only sparrow with a white eyering and a pink bill. My field guides are at home, but I believe those two features are the key to identifying the field sparrow.

Thanks.

Thanks, everyone. I get shots of a lot of Sparrows but I'm not all that confident on IDs. I've got a bunch of bird images online at
http://www.pbase.com/hemlepp, but if I'm not completely sure of the ID I will post the photo here first for verification. You folks are great.
