I was very pleased to hear that Birdforum member Mark Mallalieu has just started a blog (http://birdingsouthsudan.blogspot.com) on birding in South Sudan, the world's newest country. He is to be congratulated on his first few blogs which have some great records and photos, including photos of African Cuckoo Hawk, which seems to be a new species for the country. He has also been doing really well with snake-eagles and has a particularly good shot of a Beaudouin's. I look forward to following his progress.
