SDL Zoom Eyepieces - What are the differences? (1 Viewer)

Have I understood correctly that the 40936 has a wider FOV and better resolution than the 40935?

Is it as simple as that, or does the 40935 have some other quality that may be of merit?

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

The 40936 SDL v2 also has a more consistent eye relief, so therefore you do not need to adjust the eyecup as much (if at all) when zooming in and out. Plus I have found the new v2 has a better colour rendition too.

To expand on Rob's comments, the maximum eye relief on the 40935 is slightly longer so for some people it may be more comfortable/easier to use.

The range is 27-22 on the 40935 versus 20-18 on the 40936.

Cheers, Pete
