I thought we could continue our technical talk here and free up the gallery thread.
Tried out the diaphragm in the end of the extension tube today. Seems to have worked fine. Pics in the gallery.

Paul,
I am wondering if putting a diaphragm or just an aperture as creudag did also acts as a baffle, killing two birds with one stone, if you will pardon the expression.

Beware of dust!

I have found out the hard way that dust on a TN casts shadows on the sensor.
