Hi

This Petrel sp. was photographed from a boat from Funchal to Porto Santo. Maybe a Fea's Petrel? Sorry about the bad quality of this photo.

To be clear. madeira and feae (and desertas from feae by some?) are split from mollis. mollis is highly unprobable in the Atlantic why it is almost certainly one of the above species.

Ola,

I mean by "Pterodroma [mollis] sp" any species belonging to the Pterodroma mollis superspecies, that includes (according to IOC):

Soft-plumaged Petrel (Pterodroma mollis)
Zino's Petrel (Pterodroma madeira)
Fea's Petrel(Pterodroma feae)
Desertas Petrel (Pterodroma deserta)

I agree of course than mollis is the least likely!
