ID help please, Merseyside today. (1 Viewer)

If this bird is around "regularly" as you say, then it's very unlikely to be a Red Kite: there'd be a lot more discussion of it locally. Today's bird over Formby Point was notable, for example, only a handful of sightings in North Merseyside each yr.
 
Either way, this pic cannot be ID'd!!! My comment was simply to suggest to Rosie to consider the possibility next time she saw the bird fly over.

My only assumption is that the lady can tell the difference between a bird, a plane and Superman, which have been some of the other ''sensible suggestions'' on this thread ;)
 
Indeed. But on reading the other thread I realise that it's not in Liverpool, just near it at, I suspect, a relatively well-known location for red kites - and other wildlife ...

in which case it might be an idea to encourage eggers to go there, especially at night! ;)
